Counseling Process

Objective of Counseling: To assist prospective students in selecting their desired programs.

Attendance Requirement:

Candidates are required to personally attend the counseling session on the designated date and time. Failure to attend the counseling session will result in the rejection of the application. Candidates must ensure they have all the requisite documents (as specified in IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS) at the counseling session.

Seat Allocation

Distribution of Seats:

Seat allocation in programs is determined based on students' ranking in entrance examinations (subject to meeting minimum eligibility criteria). Students' course preferences, as indicated on the counseling form, will be considered if seats are available. Payment of Fees

Full payment of fees must be made at the time of counseling to secure admission. Payment options include cash or a Demand Draft payable to "Chitkara University" in Chandigarh (cheques are not accepted). As per the university's guidelines, fees are to be paid twice a year. Delayed fee payments will incur fines in accordance with university regulations.

Chitkara University Reservation Criteria

• Out of the total available seats, 25% are set aside for eligible candidates hailing from Himachal Pradesh, while an additional 15% are exclusively reserved for students originating from Punjab.
• The allocation of seats designated for reserved categories, including SC, ST, OBC, etc., will be determined in accordance with government policies.
• For applicants who withdraw their admission prior to the commencement of their courses, a processing fee of Rs. 1000/- and a counseling fee of Rs. 2500/- will be deducted, with a full refund being provided after accounting for these deductions.
• In cases where a withdrawal request is made after classes have started, a refund will be granted based on a pro-rata deduction (excluding processing charges), along with an additional fee for counseling.
